- Fresh or frozen blueberries: 4 cups thaw/drain if frozen
- French vanilla cake mix: 1 box 15.25 oz
- Clear soda like Sprite: 12 oz 1 can
- Grass-fed butter or dairy-free: 1 cup, melted (optional)
- Vanilla ice cream: Optional for serving
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Lightly grease a baking dish with non-stick spray.
Evenly spread fresh blueberries across the bottom of the dish. Don’t worry if they look plain—they’ll become bubbly and sweet while baking.
Sprinkle the entire box of French vanilla cake mix evenly over the blueberries. Do not stir. Stirring will turn it into a soggy cake instead of a crusty cobbler.
Slowly pour clear soda (like Sprite) over the cake mix, trying to moisten as much of the dry mix as possible. Again, do not stir.
Bake in the oven for 45 to 60 minutes. Start checking at 45 minutes—50 minutes is usually ideal, but ovens vary.
The top should be golden and slightly crisp. If you prefer a deeper golden color, broil for 1–2 minutes at the end.
Let the cobbler cool for 10 minutes before serving.
Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream on top.
